HERE IS ONE OF THE PLACES WHERE WE TAKE THE HELI-TREKKERS. WE ARE PARKED ON A LEDGE OF AN ICE FALL THAT IS PART OF THE QUESTION MARK GLACIER. LOOK CLOSELY AND YOU CAN SEE THE CRAMPONS THAT THE GUIDE HAS PUT ON THE FEET OF THE HIKERS. CRAMPONS ARE 2 INCH SPIKES THAT ATTACH TO THE BOTTOM OF YOUR BOOTS SO YOU CAN WALK UP VERY STEEP AND SLIPPERY ICE WITHOUT FALLING. IF YOU LOOK AT THE HELICOPTER, JUST ABOVE THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER OF THE WINDSHIELD BUT JUST BELOW THE ROTOR BLADE, WAY IN THE BACK GROUND IS MY SWIMMING HOLE. IT'S ABOUT THREE MILES AWAY.
