Is the water Cold????? Sorry, it made me smile :o)
Wow, love the clear water, the bluish color, the reflection, the various depths & the pattern of the snow/ice. Also nice to have someone in the photo-to show scale. Amazingly beautiful world we live in.
Hey Joe,
Drink some of that cold pure water for me too!
So Joe was there an actual trickle of water there or are you just packin snow in that. Curious Callie
HEY CALLIE, THAT REALLY IS WATER NOT ICE, AND WHAT I AM STANDING ON IS ICE THAT IS ABOUT 800 OR 900 FEET THICK. THE WATER IS THE MELTED ICE THAT RUNS TO A LOW SPOT ON THE GLACIER. AS THE SUMMER GOES ON THE ICE MOVES DOWN THE VALLEY AT ABOUT 3 TO 6 INCHES A DAY AND SOMETIMES CRACKS AS IT MOVES OVER ROUGH TERRAIN, WHEN IT DOES THE WATER WILL RUN OUT OF THERE LIKE A BIG TOILET BOWL.
